Life Coaching

FBC Hope is in the process of building a network of Mental Health Coaches to help assist with your individual needs, as well as helping you navigate the local mental health resources. If you need a listening ear, a caring heart, and a shoulder to lean on we may be able to help out. Meeting with a Coach might just give you the leg up that you need to move from surviving to thriving in your community.
John 10:10
A thief (the world, our negative past, those who would abuse us) comes only to steal and kill and destroy.
I (Jesus) have come so that they may have life and have it in abundance.

FBC Hope Discipleship Process

FBC Hope takes the coaching process very seriously. We understand the limits of coaching, the times of referral, and the seriousness of looking out for you or your family's safety. So, we will work with you to make this the most valuable experience possible.

When you schedule an appointment, you will be directed to fill out an Intake Form. FBC Hope values your time, and so our intake form will help gather the information that would have been collected during the first meeting. This gives us all a jump on the healing process! Through the counseling process, we will address faulty views that hold you back, family and life experiences that caused you to be stuck, and ways to seek healing through new behaviors, thoughts, and patterns guided by the Holy Spirit.
Starting the Process
1. Contact FBC to schedule an appointment. Our contact information is at the bottom of this page.
2. Download the intake form to fill out and bring to the first appointment. (See below)
3. Spend time in prayer about the presenting issue, asking God to begin to grant wisdom in the healing process.
4. Attend your first appointment!
Appointments
At FBC we have a growing team of volunteer coaches who are eager to sit down with you and talk about your goals, dreams, and barriers to living the life that God has for you. We will be implementing an official scheduling process soon, so look for that in the near future. Please feel free to contact the office to schedule an appointment.

Coaching and Discipleship appointments start at the agreed-upon start time at scheduling. If you need to show up late to a meeting, you may not be guaranteed the full hour. If you have an appointment scheduled and need to cancel or reschedule, please contact the church office as soon as you become aware of this need.
Duration of Coaching
Strategic short-term coaching ranges from 1-5 sessions at 1 hour per session. Following the first session, the coach will set the number of sessions within the 1-5 session range. Issues requiring more extensive care than five sessions will result in a referral to a qualified professional counselor.
