Pastor & Staff

Nick DeYoung

Teaching Pastor

Nick, his wife, and their four children came to New Hampshire's North Country in 2014. They have a passion to see their communities introduced to the Kingdom of God.

"Every step we take is a Kingdom step because we are the Body of Christ." [Pastor Nick]

One of the ways that the DeYoung family is reaching the community is through their involvement in the foster care system. They are dedicated to seeing family lives changed for the better.

Pastor Nick studied at John Brown University earning both a degree in Ministry and a degree in Marriage and Family Therapy. He is dedicated to seeing families changed and communities healed and put that into practice through pastoral coaching. He is certified as a Board Certified Advanced Christian Life Coach (CACLC), a certified Financial Coach (FC), and is currently a member of the American Association of Christian Counselors (AACC). Nick is also certified in SYMBIS pre-marital coaching. Pastor Nick uses a Solution Focused approach to his pastoral coaching. Pastor Nick enjoys coaching because it is a future focused approach to bring about change in our lives. He also believes that we can all experience the change that the Holy Spirit wants to bring to our lives. Often, it takes dedication, a bit of time and patience as we work through the process of uncovering our full potential by working through pain and the hangups we've experienced in life.

Currently Pastor Nick works as a Co-Vocational Pastor focusing on the teaching needs of the church, leadership responsibilities, and leading the Emotionally Healthy initiatives at FBC. Nick also works for the University of New Hampshire, in the CWEP department, the organization responsible for the foster care training needs for the state .

Pastor Nick has been known to enjoy Star Wars, on occasion. 😁

Sara Plumley

Minister of Worship

Sara has been living in Bethlehem, NH, for over 15 years with her husband, Chris, and their three children. Although Sara was born and raised in New England, she has lived and vacationed across the United States. Sara and her family have been attending FBC for a few years now. Before that, Sara was an integral part of the H.I.S Ministry when it was here at FBC. Sara has a musical background and is looking forward to leading FBC into worship and the love of Jesus.

Keri Abbott

Receptionist

Keri Abbott is the first face of the FBC offices. She volunteers three days a week to greet everyone with a cheerful smile. That isn’t all Keri does, though, when she is here. Keri helps with office tasks, answering the phone, and many other duties asked of her. Keri has been volunteering in this position since 2020, and we appreciate what she brings to the FBC family.

When Keri isn’t in the office, she can be found spending time with her family and their dogs. Keri has a powerful testimony and is also a team lead with our worship team.
